FRP offers high structural design flexibility, customizable corrosion barriers and greater stiffness for large tanks, pipes, ducts and process equipment. HDPE is flexible, impact-resistant and suitable for fusion welding, making it useful for buried pipelines and selected chemical services. PVC is economical and widely used for water treatment, drainage and moderate-temperature chemical piping.
All three materials may serve corrosive applications, but selection should consider temperature, pressure, diameter, stiffness, vacuum, UV exposure, permeation, fire performance and connection requirements. For large industrial equipment or systems requiring custom shapes, structural strength and broad project integration, FRP generally provides the most adaptable solution.
